Was a handsome boy adored by many, with big dreams and a heart of gold. This love affair didn’t quite start until about two years after we graduated, yet we shared a somewhat romantic friendship from the start. After school, our roads split for some time, until we stumbled into each other’s lives again one afternoon while both of us coincidentally dropped off our friends at the same house. He had a “For Sale” sign in the back of his car, and I was interested in buying it, yet he would say I was more interested in him than the car, and the car was just an excuse to win his heart. Guess that would be my secret to take to the grave, but by the looks of it, he ended up buying into a lifelong commitment and selling not just his car but his whole heart. About two years later, he finally made the decision to ask me to be his “Girlfriend” while traveling in Bali. Let’s just say he has always been quite the romantic, creating big expectations.
Fast forward four years later, on the 24th of June 2024, he decided to make it official and asked me to be his wife. Obviously, I said yes, hence the fact I am writing this. The Lord laid it on our hearts to “seal the deal,” and we had a small, intimate wedding with our family six months later. But we had an enormous urge to also share this blessing with those we love and adore to celebrate our commitment to one another.
Here’s to the rest of our life and the best of our lives as we build and grow together as a family centred in Christ.
